What I Will Propose and Do

I will introduce the ROOTS Act

(Responsible Ownership Opportunity & Targeted Savings)

This creates:

A state matching savings program for first-time homebuyers
Strong income and affordability safeguards
No blank checks, no inflated prices, no risky lending
A reward for saving and planning, not speculation

This helps people stay in Ohio without repeating past housing mistakes.
