What I Believe

People deserve to know where their tax dollars go. Government should not feel like a black box. Transparency builds trust, and trust is essential if we expect people to stay engaged and believe the system works for them.

What I Will Propose and Do

I will introduce the OPEN Books Act

(Ohio Public Expense Navigation)

This creates a clear, online transparency portal that:

Shows how state tax dollars are spent by category and district
Breaks spending into plain language, not bureaucratic jargon
Allows residents to see where their money goes and why

Transparency isn’t radical. It’s respectful.
